Invalid license
Symptom: Prism for AL runs with limited features, and the license status line on the Control Panel's Home page shows one of the statuses below in red. Hover over the status line: its tooltip says why and what to do.

Cause and Fix depend on the status:

| “Unlicensed” | No license key is activated. The tooltip reads “Unlicensed: Please enter license key (real or trial)”. | Select Activate… and paste your license key, or select Start trial… to request a trial license. |
| “Invalid” | The key is incomplete or mistyped, or it is not a Prism for AL key. The tooltip names the reason, for example “The license key is not for Prism for AL”, “This license key is not valid for Prism for AL; the license key is for Prism for C/AL” or “The license signature is invalid: please ensure you entered the license key correctly and in its entirety, and try again.” | Copy the whole Prism for AL key again, select Activate… and paste it. Your license administrator finds the license keys under MyPages on stati-cal.com. |
| “Expired 15 Jan 2027” | The license has passed the date shown. The tooltip reads “Your license has expired, please contact us.” | Ask your license administrator for a renewed key, or contact Statical. Activate the new key with Activate…. |

A key you activate replaces the one before it. If the new key turns out to be the wrong one, the Activate license window can restore the previous license.
